The Long Journey:

The Long Journey is an action game built by myself and 3 other VFS students over the course of 1 month. This is was my first attempt at making a game from scratch and I learned a lot about not only game development but communication skills.
I was the level designer for this game. I went through a lot of iterations of the level due to either player feedback or we as a team wanting something different of our game. We ran into a lot of sourcetree problems at first, but as we got further in those thankfully stopped. Before just making levels for myself I didn’t realize all the aspects that effected the level design. Such as changing the level to better highlight some artistic elements our environmental artist made, or removing or changing puzzles/areas due to programming limitations.
